If you are a friend of mine on Facebook you know that yesterday I posted on Meditation. I think it is without a doubt one of the greatest things you can do for your life. Creating a sacred space or place where you can go and just "be", helps and heals in so many ways. I know for me its where I go to hear from my guides, visit with loved ones, or just rest. It's a place of healing. Your meditation place is a place for you. You can make it what you want and trust beyond a shadow of a doubt that it will be what you need. Give yourself permission and just go for it!
A guided meditation I have been given is one I teach and use for myself. Here goes!
Close your eyes. Take several deep breaths. In through your nose, out through your mouth slowly.
Imagine yourself walking through a forest on a beautiful path. Everywhere you look is beautiful. Enjoy the beauty, the quiet, the peace of this path. As you walk you come up on a set of 7 steps. Walk up each step counting them as you go, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 - and now in front of you is a door. It can look like any kind of door you wish. Open the door and walk through. You are now on the other side. Walk forward along this new path. On your left is a beautiful flowing brook. Follow this brook and enjoy all the things you see. Now look to your right. There is a big open field and in the middle of this field is a very large tree. Walk to that tree and sit, stand, or lay down on a blanket, bench or whatever makes you comfortable. This is your sacred place. This is where you will receive messages. Hear from loved ones, guides, angels and God. Stay as long as you like for you will know when its time to come back. When you are ready to leave, give thanks for the guidance, rest, peace, and then start walking toward the water. Follow the path back to the door. Open the door and walk through. Slowly walk down the stairs counting them all. When you are ready open your eyes. Take a few deep breathes and if you want write down all what you've seen and heard. It doesn't matter if no one came to visit. Write down how you felt. Where there animals? Did you see colors? The smallest things often have great significance! Do this for yourself and see how you feel. Sometimes I go right to my tree and just rest! Its my special place and it is there for me whenever I want or need it!
